Vinit Patkar provides financial advice services through Zymm Group Ltd (trading as Zymm Brokers). Fees and Remuneration
In most cases, Zymm Brokers is remunerated by way of commission paid by the product or lending provider if you proceed with a recommended product.
Insurance
Upfront commission may be paid as a percentage of your annual premium
Ongoing or trail commission may be paid for as long as the policy remains in force
Lending
Commission may be paid as a percentage of the loan amount
Ongoing trail commission may also apply
In certain circumstances, fees may be charged directly to you. Any such fees will be disclosed and agreed with you in advance.
Clawback and Cancellation
If a policy or loan is cancelled, repaid, or significantly altered within a period specified by the provider, the provider may require repayment of some or all commission paid to us. In such cases, we may charge a reasonable fee for the services provided, which will be disclosed to you upfront and capped in accordance with our fee policy.
Conflicts of Interest and Incentives
Vinit Patkar is a director and shareholder of Zymm Group Ltd (trading as Zymm Brokers). As a result, I may benefit financially from the success of the business, including through salary, bonuses, or dividends that may be paid depending on the performance of the company and the volume of financial products or services placed.
Zymm Group Ltd may receive commission, incentive payments, or other forms of remuneration from product providers, lenders, insurers, or financial platform providers based on the business placed with them. From time to time, product providers may also contribute to marketing initiatives, professional development, or industry conferences.
I may receive subsidised or fully funded professional development, training, or educational support from financial product providers as part of maintaining competence and regulatory requirements.
These financial interests and incentives could potentially influence the advice provided. To manage this, I follow a structured advice process that prioritises the client’s goals, needs, and circumstances. All recommendations are made based on what is considered appropriate for the client, rather than the level of remuneration received.
As a financial adviser operating under a licensed Financial Advice Provider, I am subject to regulatory oversight, internal policies, and quality assurance processes of the licensed FAP to ensure compliance with the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 and FMA standards.
Limitations on Advice
Our advice is limited to the scope agreed with you. We do not provide advice on areas outside this scope unless clearly disclosed. Where appropriate, we may refer you to another qualified adviser.
Privacy and Information Handling
Personal information collected in the course of providing advice is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 2020. You have the right to access and request correction of your personal information at any time.
Complaints Process
At Zymm Brokers, we are committed to providing a fair and transparent complaints process to ensure any concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
Internal Complaints Procedure
Making a complaint: You can submit your complaint by email, phone, or in writing to Vinit Patkar at Zymm Group Ltd (trading as Zymm Brokers).
Acknowledgement: We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within two working days.
Investigation: We will investigate your complaint fairly and thoroughly, gathering any relevant information from you and third parties as necessary.
Response: We will provide a written response outlining our findings and proposed resolution, typically within 20 working days. If additional time is required, we will keep you informed.
Escalation to Licensed FAP
Since Zymm Group Ltd operates as a Nominated Representative under a licensed FAP, if your complaint is not resolved satisfactorily by us, it may be escalated to the licensed FAP. The licensed FAP will review the complaint in accordance with their policies and provide a resolution.
External Dispute Resolution Scheme
If your complaint is still unresolved after escalation to the FAP, you have the right to refer it to the FAP’s approved external dispute resolution scheme. Details of this scheme, which is independent and free of charge, will be provided to you prior to the provision of regulated financial advice.
FMA Oversight
You also have the right to make a complaint directly to the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) regarding conduct concerns. Contact information for the FMA will be provided upon request.
This complaints process is designed to ensure transparency, accountability, and that your interests are prioritised at all stages.
Privacy and Information Handling

Retention of Information
